Four Schools - One College

Brief Profile of Hillfield Strathallan College

The mission of Hillfield Strathallan College is to prepare young people for higher learning and life by emphasizing academic excellence and the nurturing of the whole child. Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) was established at its current site in 1962, when two predecessor schools Hillfield School (1929) and Strathallan School (1923) moved to 299 Fennell Avenue West. Hillcrest’s history dated back even further to 1901 when Highfield School for boys was established.

Today, HSC is one College with four schools and has an enrollment of over 1100 students spread Montessori, Junior, Middle and Senior schools. Our students come to us from many communities within the local Hamilton area and beyond including Mississauga, Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown, Brantford and Stoney Creek. We also have a group of international students in our Senior School Global Studies Program. Approximately 10% of our students receive some form of financial assistance.

We have arrived at a crossroads where we must position ourselves with strength for the challenges of the 21st century. Together, we will look anew at what we need to do and how we need to evolve to ensure our students are prepared for a global environment of rapid change.
